User Guide
Instructions
- Turn off cold water supply valve and remove existing water supply tubing and/or fitting. Select and mark a location under the sink that allows access for filter change
- Using filter head/bracket as a guide, fasten Filter Head Assembly to wall with number 2 Phillips mounting screws supplied. Mark hole locations so that there is a 1-1/2 inch space between the screws, from center of each screw
- When installed, filter bottom should be at least 2-1/2 inches from sink cabinet floor to facilitate cartridge change. Install screws, but only halfway, so you can easily slip the bracket to wall before firmly setting screws
- Determine length of tubing required from filter head/bracket to faucet and from water supply line to filter head/bracket by holding tubing in place ensuring it is of appropriate length (do not kink tubing)
- Install faucet adapter fitting to faucet, this should be a snug fit (do not overtighten)
- Insert the blue tubing into the faucet adapter fitting, making sure the end of tubing is firmly seated. Hold the filter head assembly away from the wall, press other end of tubing into outlet side as indicated by arrow on filter head assembly
- Take the remaining tubing, slip the compression hex nut and 3/8-inch ferrule onto the tubing (position the tapered end of the ferrule away from the hex nut) and put in the tube insert. Fasten this assembly tightly onto 3/8-inch cold water supply outlet
- Pull on tube to make sure a good connection has been made. Connect other end to the inlet side of the filter head assembly as indicated by arrow. Place filter head assembly holes over mounting screws and press down to lock into place
- Tighten the screws for a secure fit. Insert filter in filter head assembly. Turn filter one quarter turn to the right until it stops. When fully engaged, the top surface of the filter will be flush with the bottom of the filter head assembly
