Swift Green Filters are environmentally friendly and are produced with new technology that carbonizes dried coconut shells and captures the emissions for thermal energy. Coconut carbon is more effective than conventional carbon media at improving the taste of drinking water. The Swift Green Filter SGF-G1 meets NSF standard 42 for contaminant reduction. Independent lab testing for the Swift SGF-G1 filter shows that it reduces the same contaminants as the GE SmartWater MWF filter.
The Green Filters SGF-G1 Refrigerator Water Filter fits GE and Hotpoint refrigerators with a round white plastic filter typically mounted inside the refrigerator at the rear of the compartment - above the top shelf.

Installation Instructions:
- Twist the old filter a half-turn counterclockwise
- Pull the filter straight down and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically)
- Fill the new filter with water (you can use the cold water faucet on your kitchen sink)
- Push the new filter up into the fridge until it stops

- Press and hold the reset water filter button on the dispenser for 3 seconds
