16x25x1 is one of the most common furnace filter sizes in US homes, and this collection gives you a full range of filtration levels to choose from:
- 3M entry-level filter: a budget-friendly choice for basic dust and lint protection.
- Filtrete 1500 (about MERV 12): captures common allergens plus finer particles like smoke.
- Tier1 MERV 13 (6-pack) and Filtrete 1900 and 2200 (about MERV 13): reduce fine particles, smoke, and some airborne bacteria and viruses.
For general dust and allergen control, MERV 8–11 is plenty for most homes. Step up to MERV 13 if you have allergies, pets, or smoke concerns. Replace 1-inch filters about every 3 months.
