Its granular activated carbon (GAC) media is specifically engineered to reduce chlorine taste and odor, providing noticeably fresher-tasting drinking water from your undersink system without significantly restricting flow rate.

The Pentek GAC-10 has a service life of approximately 6 months or 2,000 gallons, whichever comes first, when operating at a flow rate of 2 GPM. Replacement frequency may vary depending on your water quality and household usage. For best performance, we recommend changing the GAC-10 every 6 months to maintain consistent chlorine reduction and taste improvement.

The Pentek GAC-10 uses premium granular activated carbon to reduce chlorine taste and odor, as well as other objectionable tastes from your drinking water. The GAC media provides excellent contact time with water, effectively absorbing chlorine and improving overall water aesthetics. The Pentek GAC-10 is tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements only. This 9-3/4" x 2-7/8" standard-size cartridge fits most 10-inch slim-line filter housings, including Pentek Slim Line 10 housings and other standard undersink systems, making it a versatile replacement option for many filtration setups.

To install the Pentek GAC-10, shut off the water supply, depressurize the system, and unscrew the filter housing. Remove the old cartridge, insert the new GAC-10 with the correct orientation, and securely reattach the housing. After installation, flush the system by running cold water for 5-10 minutes to remove any loose carbon fines and air pockets before using the water for drinking.
