Its compact inline design makes it ideal as a final-stage polishing filter in residential and commercial water systems.

The Hydronix ICF-10Q38 measures 10 inches in length by 2 inches in diameter and features 3/8-inch quick-connect (QC) push-in fittings on both ends, eliminating the need for additional adapters or tubing inserts. It operates at a maximum flow rate of 0.5 GPM, with a pressure range of 20–100 psi and temperature range of 40–100°F. The coconut shell carbon media offers superior adsorption compared to standard coal-based carbon.

The Hydronix ICF-10Q38 has a 5-micron nominal filtration rating, capturing fine sediment while reducing chlorine, taste, and odor. It has a service life of approximately 1,500 gallons or 12 months, whichever comes first. For households with heavy water usage or poor incoming water quality, replacement may be needed sooner to maintain optimal flow and taste.

The Hydronix ICF-10Q38 is manufactured with FDA-compliant, food-grade materials and uses NSF-listed coconut shell activated carbon media. The coconut-based carbon is preferred for drinking water applications because it offers a higher micropore structure than coal-based carbon, resulting in better chlorine, taste, and odor reduction while being a renewable, eco-friendly resource.

Installation is simple thanks to the built-in 3/8" quick-connect fittings—just shut off the water supply, push the 3/8" tubing firmly into each end until seated, and ensure the arrow on the housing points in the direction of water flow. After installation, flush the filter by running 2–3 gallons of water through it to remove any loose carbon fines before use. Replace the ICF-10Q38 every 12 months or 1,500 gallons for consistent performance.
