The cartridge has a rated service life of approximately 1,000 gallons or 6 months of typical household use, whichever comes first. Replacing it on schedule ensures consistent flow rate, filtration efficiency, and water quality.

Yes. The Aries A101 system components are tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for aesthetic effects, including chlorine taste and odor reduction and particulate (sediment) reduction. This certification verifies that the Aries A101 performs to industry standards for material safety and structural integrity, giving you confidence in both the build quality and filtration performance of the system.

The Aries A101 comes with a mounting bracket, filter housing, and the necessary fittings for a standard 3/8" cold water line connection under the sink. To replace the cartridge, shut off the inlet water supply, press the pressure-release button on the housing cap, unscrew the housing sump, remove the used cartridge, insert a new Aries A101 replacement cartridge, and hand-tighten the sump back into place. Turn the water back on and flush the new filter for 5 minutes before use.

Reduced flow or a return of chlorine taste typically indicates that the Aries A101 cartridge has reached the end of its 1,000-gallon / 6-month service life and needs replacement. Heavy sediment loads or higher household usage can shorten cartridge life, so inspect and change the cartridge sooner if needed. After installing a fresh Aries A101 cartridge, flush the system for about 5 minutes to clear any carbon fines and restore full flow and great-tasting filtered water.
