Coconut shell carbon is preferred over coal-based carbon because it provides a higher density of micropores, delivering cleaner, fresher-tasting water for refrigerators, ice makers, and RO systems.

The IN-WF0150 features 1/4 inch FPT (Female Pipe Thread) connections on both the inlet and outlet, making it compatible with standard 1/4 inch tubing used in most refrigerators, ice makers, and under-sink systems. It delivers a flow rate of up to 0.5 GPM and operates within a pressure range of 20–100 psi and temperature range of 35–100°F, ensuring reliable performance in a wide variety of residential water systems.

Installation of the IN-WF0150 is straightforward thanks to its 1/4 inch FPT threaded connections. Simply shut off the water supply, cut your existing 1/4 inch water line, connect compatible 1/4 inch fittings (such as compression or quick-connect adapters) to each end of the filter, and secure in place—observing the arrow on the filter housing to ensure correct flow direction. Flush 2–3 gallons of water through the filter before use to remove any carbon fines.
