The Aqua-Pure AP117 is specifically designed to fit 3M Aqua-Pure AP11T, AP101T, AP12T, and AP1610 series whole house filter housings. It features a standard 10-inch cartridge format (9-3/4" x 2-1/2") and is also compatible with most universal whole house housings that accept this size. The AP117 is a dedicated sediment-reduction cartridge made from 100% polypropylene and is engineered to capture particulate matter like dirt, sand, rust flakes, and silt. It does NOT remove chlorine, chemicals, taste, or odor. If you need chlorine and taste/odor reduction in addition to sediment removal, consider pairing the AP117 with a carbon block cartridge like the 3M Aqua-Pure AP110 or upgrading to a dual-stage whole house system.

The Aqua-Pure AP117 supports a maximum service flow rate of 20 gallons per minute (GPM), making it suitable for whole-home applications including multiple bathrooms and appliances. It operates within a temperature range of 40°F to 100°F and handles a maximum working pressure of 125 psi. This high-flow capacity ensures consistent water pressure throughout your home while actively filtering sediment.

Replace your 3M Aqua-Pure AP117 every 3 months or after 25,000 gallons of use. Common signs that indicate an earlier replacement is needed include a noticeable drop in water pressure throughout your home, visible discoloration or darkening of the cartridge, or sediment appearing at fixtures. For homes on well water or municipal systems with high turbidity, inspect the cartridge monthly and replace as needed to protect downstream appliances and plumbing.
