The ECP1-10 Pentek Comparable Whole House Filter Replacement Cartridge by Tier1 is a 1 micron pleated cellulose filter, ensuring the filtration of small hard to get particles. You will only need to change this filter out once every six months. The flow rate of this filter is rated at 10 gallons per minute. In addition this filter has added strength due to it's rugged polypropylene core. Very effective and easy to install, simply fit this filter into your undersink housing sized 10x 2.5 inches, then connect your water line to the housing. Instructions

  1. Turn off water supply. Press red pressure-relief button (if present)
  2. Unscrew housing. Remove large o-ring, wipe clean and set aside
  3. Discard used filter cartridge
  4. Wash housing with dish soap and warm water using a nonabrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly
  5. Fill 1/3 with water. Add about 1 tablespoon of bleach and scrub to disinfect. Rinse thoroughly
  6. Lubricate o-ring with clean silicone grease. Change o-ring if any damage cuts or degradation are present. Insert o-ring in groove
  7. NOTE: This step is important to ensure a proper housing seal. Make certain the o-ring is seated level in the groove
  8. Insert new filter cartridge
  9. Screw housing onto the cap and hand-tighten. Do not over tighten. Make sure cap standpipe slips into cartridge
  10. Turn on water supply. Press pressure-relief button (if present). Check for leaks before leaving installation
