Installing Maytag Refrigerator Water Filters

Number: UKF7003 (Comparable TIER1-RWF1041)

1. Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise.
2. Pull the filter straight down and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically).
3. Push the new filter up into the fridge until it stops.
4. Twist the filter a quarter-turn clockwise.
5. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one).

How to reset the change filter light:

Press and hold the lock and light buttons (lock and water on newer fridges) on the dispenser for about 4 seconds, until the indicator light blinks.

1. Unlatch the plastic filter cover, and let it swing down (so you can see the filter).
2. Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise.
3. Pull the filter straight out and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically).
4. Push the new filter into the fridge until it stops.
5. Twist the filter a quarter-turn clockwise.
6. Swing the plastic filter cover up until it snaps closed.
7. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one).

How to reset the change filter light:

Press and hold the dispenser LOCK and AUTO-LIGHT (or WATER on some fridges) buttons on the dispenser at the same time for 4 seconds or until the filter status indicator begins to flash, then release the buttons.
