Installing Samsung Refrigerator Water Filters

Number: DA29-00012A and DA29-00012B

1. Open "flip-up" door.
2. Push filter cartridge straight in until you hear a click, this releases the latch and allows the filter to be removed.
3. Pull the filter straight out and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically).
4. Push the new filter straight into the fridge until it "clicks" into place.
5. Run the dispenser for 5 minutes to flush the system and purge all of the air from the new filter then discard that water.
6. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one).

How to reset the change filter light:

Press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds the light should turn green.

Number: DA29-10105J (Comparable TIER1-IN-WF1150)

1. Shut off water supply.
2. Disconnect old cartridge from system.
3. Align the water filter with arrow flow mark toward refrigerator.
4. Connect the inlet and outlet tubing to the appropriate end of the filter by firmly pushing the tubing all the way until tightly seated.
5. Make sure the tubing is square and scratch free (trim if necessary).
6. Insert filter clip (shown in installation manual).
7. Turn on the water and check for leaks.
8. If leaks occur, repeat installation steps (if leaks persist, discontinue use and call for support).
9. Flush the filter for 5 minutes before use.

Number: DA29-00003F and DA29-00003G

1. Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise.
2. Pull the filter straight down and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically).
3. Push the new filter up into the fridge until it stops.
4. Twist the filter a quarter-turn clockwise.
5. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one).

Note: If you have a hard time installing your new filter, close the water supply valve (usually behind the fridge) and then dispense a small amount of water this should relieve the pressure and allow the new filter to screw right in.

How to reset the change filter light:

Press and hold the ice type and child lock buttons (at the same time) for 3 seconds the light should turn green. Note: If you hold these buttons for 5 seconds, you'll cancel the reset process. If this happens, just release the buttons and start over.
