The PGB25100L pressure gauge helps you determine when to change your filters, based on pressure drop across a filter. Water conditions can change unpredictably over time, putting extra wear and tear on your water filter cartridges. This handy gauge lets you know with much greater precision when water flow is being compromised by clogged and inefficient filters. This is the perfect tool for anyone who wants immediate access to information about filter quality, without the added hassle and potential mess of opening up the housing sump for a visual inspection. Save yourself time, and enjoy better water with plumbed-in meters like this: install one before and one after your filter housing to measure the drop in pressure.

Instructions

  1. Attach a T-fitting to your existing plumbing so there is an extra pipe extension available. The extension should be a quarter inch diameter fitting
  2. The lower mount pressure gauge fits onto the pipe extension, measuring the water pressure at that point
  3. Depending on your application you may choose to add multiple pressure gauges in this manner
  4. For example, you might put a pressure gauge before and after a water filter housing to find the pressure drop across the housing. This can be useful in determining whether the filter in the housing needs to be changed
  5. When there is excessive pressure drop (see specs for each filter) across a filter, then you will know that it needs to be changed
