Before first use, each BB9-2 element must be primed using the included priming button or adapter to saturate the micro-pores and remove trapped air. Hold the element against a faucet and run cold water through it for about 30 seconds until water sprays from all sides. For ongoing maintenance, scrub the exterior of the elements under cool running water with a Scotch-Brite pad every 3–6 months (or when flow slows noticeably) to restore flow rate.
