The Eco Series Tier1 Whole House Carbon and KDF Water Purification and Salt-Free Water Softening Alternative System pair the carbon and KDF media blend tank with a salt-free water softener alternative to create a Whole House solution that reduces large array of contaminants and the build-up of scale. Scale build-up leads to lowered efficiency and the early failure of pipes and water-using appliances. Utilizing a water softener in partnership with KDF and carbon media delivers a solution to combat this harmful growth while also reducing contaminants such as sediment, herbicides, pesticides, and chlorine taste and odor. This system includes a pre-filter housing for sediment filters, the KDF, and carbon tank, and finally, the salt-free water softener to provide a water filtration solution covering just about every need possible. There is no brine tank, expensive replacement salt, backwash waste, or control valve to worry about. The salt-free softener alternative system uses Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC) which does not remove calcium and magnesium from the water like traditional softeners but instead changes them from their ionic form to a harmless crystalline form.
