The Pentek C1-20 has a service life of approximately 15,000 gallons or 3 to 6 months, depending on your water quality and usage. For most households, replacing the C1-20 every 3 months is recommended to maintain optimal chlorine reduction and prevent pressure drop. Heavy sediment or high chlorine levels may shorten the cartridge’s lifespan, while lighter usage may extend it slightly.

The Pentek C1-20 measures 20 inches in length and 2.88 inches in outer diameter, designed specifically to fit standard 20" x 2.5" slim-line filter housings (not Big Blue). It operates at a maximum flow rate of 4 GPM (gallons per minute) with a recommended temperature range of 40°F to 100°F and a maximum pressure of 125 psi. This makes the C1-20 ideal for under-sink, light commercial, and point-of-use applications.
