The 3M Aqua-Pure AP817-2 whole house water filter cartridge is for use with many 3M Aqua-Pure whole house filters that use 20-inch x 4-1/2 inch water filters. It has a rigid outer shell to help capture sediment while retaining its granular activated carbon media. Whole house water filter systems are great solutions to help protect your pipes and appliances as well as offer you great tasting drinking water from anywhere in the home.

Housings do not come with water filter cartridge. Drop-in cartridges sold separately. Flow rate and reduction claims vary with drop-in water filter cartridge used.

Instructions

  1. The 3M Aqua-Pure AP817-2 water filter needs to be replaced every 6 months. The filter may need to be replaced sooner depending on your water quality and your water usage
  2. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system
  3. Turn off incoming water
  4. Bleed pressure from the unit by depressing the red button on top of unit
  5. Remove housing by sliding wrench up toward head then turn left to unscrew
  6. Wipe housing clean and insert new cartridge
  7. Lubricate o-ring and screw housing into head
  8. Turn water back on
