The Eco Series Whole House Water Softener Alternative (Salt Free Softener) is different from your basic KDF or resin water softener systems. There is no brine tank, expensive replacement salt, backwash waste cycle, or electricity needed for a control valve. The Tier1 salt-free softener utilizes Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC), an innovative, environmentally friendly media technology. The system reduces sediment and scale without harsh chemicals or salt which reduces damage to your home's piping and appliances. In addition, the salt-free system will not remove beneficial minerals from your water or release excess levels of salt into the water supply. The TAC method turns ionic hardness minerals into harmless crystalline forms that can not bond to one another or other surfaces, meaning that while the hardness minerals are not truly removed from the water they don't pose a threat to your home. You may additionally see some improvement in the efficiencies of your soaps and detergents. This system requires a very basic setup and is the ideal size for larger homes, condominiums, and offices. Simply install this system into your water line and let it do the work!

Usage of the salt-free conditioning system on private well water must meet the following requirements:

A pre-treatment system for Iron, Manganese, Copper, and Sulfur must be installed prior to the salt-free conditioner unless a professional water analysis shows that the raw well water meets the following chemistry requirements: Iron less than 0.3 mg/L, Manganese less than 0.05 mg/L, copper less than 1.3 mg/L.

Tier1 Eco Series Water Softener Alternative

The Tier1 salt-free water softener system is ideal for reducing sediments and scale while preventing damage to your home's piping appliances. This system is engineered with Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC), an innovative and more environmentally friendly technology. Unlike salt-based systems, this system does not remove beneficial minerals from your water or release excessive levels of salt into the water.

NSF/ANSI 61 Certified Salt-Free Softener Media

  • Salt-free systems reduce the buildup of limescale by altering the chemical structure of water minerals to prevent solids from depositing in pipes, appliances and on fixtures.
  • Salt-free systems operate without salt, thus there is no backwash phase of the regeneration cycle as with traditional water softeners.
  • The backwash phase releases a high concentration of chloride salt, which is a concern for many. In fact, some localities do not allow traditional softeners, making the scale inhibiting system ideal for consumers living in those areas.
  • Tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 61 for health effects.
