Common questions
What is a refrigerator filter cap for?
A refrigerator filter cap holds and covers a water filter that mounts in the base grille of some Amana refrigerators. If your original cap is cracked or lost, a replacement cap lets you cover the filter again.
Which cap color or part fits my fridge?
The right cap is the one whose part number matches your old cap: the 2186494W in white or the 2260518B in black for PUR filters. Check the number on the cap itself or in your owner's manual. Need the filter too? Shop our Amana refrigerator water filters.
