- The 3M Aqua-Pure AP811-2 water filter needs to be replaced every 6 months. The filter may need to be replaced sooner depending on your water quality and your water usage
- Turn off incoming water
- Bleed pressure from the unit by depressing the red button on top of unit
- Remove housing by sliding wrench up toward head then turn left to unscrew
- Wipe housing clean and insert new cartridge
- Lubricate o-ring and screw housing into head
- Turn water back on

The 3M Aqua-Pure AP811-2 water filter is for use with many 3M Aqua-Pure whole house filters that use 20 inch x 4 1/2 inch water filters. This filters grooves surface increases total surface area to increase filtration compared to non-grooved filters. Its rigid polypropylene structure helps capture and retain sediment that contact the filter. It has a flow rate of up to 45 gpm and a reduction level of down to 25 micron nominal. Provide better water by ordering the Aqua-Pure AP811-2 water filter.
Housings do not come with water filter cartridge. Drop-in cartridges sold separately. Flow rate and reduction claims vary with drop-in water filter cartridge used.
